THE CLIENT
Queensmill School is a specialist school in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, providing outstanding education for pupils with severe learning difficulties, autism and complex needs. The school offers a highly supportive learning environment with purpose-designed teaching spaces that enable every pupil to reach their full potential.

Like many education projects, Queensmill School presents the challenge of delivering a significant programme of works within a strict summer holiday window. Careful planning, early procurement and close coordination with the client team are essential to ensure all works are completed before the school reopens.
The project includes a full internal refurbishment of selected teaching and support spaces, incorporating demolition and alteration works, new partitions and ceilings, door upgrades, internal decorations and replacement floor finishes. Mechanical and electrical alterations will be undertaken throughout to suit the new layouts, alongside upgrades to lighting, fire alarm interfaces and associated building services. The programme also includes the installation of new joinery, fixtures and fittings, together with final testing, commissioning and quality assurance, to ensure the refurbished areas are fully operational at the start of term.
Working within a live education environment requires meticulous programme management, robust safeguarding procedures and strict control of site operations. Our team will coordinate all trades to deliver a high-quality finish while maintaining the programme required for a successful handover before pupils return.
